| The Meggle company is not only in Bavaria but everywhere in Germany well known for its competence in dairy products, based on the knowledge of four generations that concentrated on this subject. It started with the production of dairy products and after 1945 the idea of establishing their own breeding programme came into focus. In 1949 this idea came true with the foundation of the Meggle Insemination centre with its principal intention being to provide the farmers and cattle breeders with bulls of choicest quality.
In 2000 some 380 bulls were being offered by Meggle Insemination Centre. With about 150,000 initial inseminations the company is among the very top of international German Simmental cattle breeders. From the company’s headquarters in Wasserburg/Bavaria semen is shipped worldwide. |
