In the Bavarian breeding programme strict selection criteria allow only the elite of the crop to be used for breeding. Meggle Insemination Centre is aiming for a steady improvement of the bulls offered for breeding purposes. Only 1 percent of cows are taken for the breeding programme which is organised and controlled by the Bavarian Ministry of Agriculture.
